The Weston Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking an energetic, talented, and thoughtful leader to become the next library director. You will join our team of dedicated staff members, an engaged board and a growing circle of Friends to expand on our tradition of helpful, friendly service. Serving Weston, CT., a picturesque Fairfield County community of 10,037 people, whose patrons borrowed more than 51,000 items in 2009. Weston CT is about one hour from New York City and a neighbor to many other Fairfield county towns such as Westport, New Canaan, and Wilton.

 

Candidates require an ALA-accredited MLS degree and experience as a public library department head or administrator. High energy and a bias for creativity and innovation are a plus, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, a hands-on work ethic and interest in and knowledge of emerging technologies. Starting salary is competitive up to $78k and commensurate with experience, including an excellent benefit package.
